PROYECTO VISIÓN

                 Proyecto Visión's Background

In 1992,  an ophthalmologist from Salamanca (Spain) traveled to Ethiopia and got in touch with the “Daughters of Charity”, a religious order. This congregation already had an ophthalmologic clinic, the person in charge being Sister Margaret. They decided to operate patients with cataracts. Later on, several other ophthalmologists from Barcelona got together and with other volunteers created an NGO in 1994.

Since then, during all these years,  other doctors and ophthalmologists from all over Spain - from Algeciras, Berga, Burgos, Castellón, Córdoba, Lleida, Madrid , Manresa , Salamanca and Sevilla - have joined this initiative.
